Phone Number Generator - Generate International Phone Numbers for 8 Countries

Generate fictional phone numbers for 8 countries: NL, US, UK, DE, BE, FR, ES and IT. Each country uses its correct format, prefixes and area codes. Ideal as test data for form validation, CRM testing and test automation.

Note:All generated data is entirely fictional and not suitable for use as real personal information.

Count:

Dutch phone numbers for testing

Dutch phone numbers follow a standardized format managed by the Telephone Numbering Plan of the Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM). Understanding this format is essential for correctly validating and testing phone number fields in applications.

Mobile numbers

All Dutch mobile numbers start with the area code 06, followed by 8 digits. The full format is 06-XXXXXXXX (10 digits total). In international format this becomes +31 6 XXXXXXXX, where the leading 0 is dropped.

Landline numbers and area codes

Landline phone numbers consist of an area code (2 or 3 digits) followed by a subscriber number. Major cities use 2-digit area codes with 7-digit subscriber numbers, smaller cities use 3-digit area codes with 6-digit subscriber numbers. Common area codes are:

  • 020 — Amsterdam
  • 010 — Rotterdam
  • 070 — The Hague
  • 030 — Utrecht
  • 040 — Eindhoven
  • 050 — Groningen
  • 015 — Delft
  • 013 — Tilburg

Why not use real numbers?

Using real phone numbers in test environments can lead to unwanted calls or SMS messages to real people, especially when testing notification systems, 2FA flows or bulk communication. Fictional numbers eliminate this risk entirely. Use generated numbers when testing form validation, CRM systems, and APIs that process phone numbers.

Combine fictional phone numbers with a generated name and address for realistic contact details, or generate complete profiles via the dataset generator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which countries are supported by the phone number generator?
The phone number generator supports 8 countries: Netherlands (+31), United States (+1), United Kingdom (+44), Germany (+49), Belgium (+32), France (+33), Spain (+34) and Italy (+39). Each country generates numbers in its correct national format with valid prefixes and area codes.
Are the generated phone numbers real? Can I call them?
No. The numbers follow the correct format for each country but are not in use and not assigned to real connections. They are intended solely as test data for software development, form validation, and test automation. Never call generated numbers — they may coincidentally match existing numbers.
Which phone number formats are supported?
The generator supports country-specific formats: Dutch mobile (06) and landline, US numbers with area codes, UK mobile and landline, German numbers with city codes, and more. You can choose between national and international format for each country. This allows you to generate exactly the type of phone number you need for your test scenario.
Can I generate and export phone numbers in bulk?
Yes, the bulk generator allows you to generate up to 10,000 fictional phone numbers at once for any of the 8 supported countries. Generation runs entirely in your browser — no server-side processing. Export the results to Excel (.xlsx), CSV, or JSON for direct use in your test databases, CRM systems, or test automation scripts.
What do developers use fictional phone numbers for when testing?
Fictional phone numbers are used for: testing contact forms and registration flows, validation of international phone number input fields (including format checking), filling CRM test databases with realistic contact data, integration tests with SMS or calling APIs (in test mode), testing international format parsing across multiple countries, and as part of complete test datasets together with name, address, and email.
Are my generated phone numbers stored?
No. The phone number generator runs entirely client-side in your browser. No data is stored on a server and nothing is shared with third parties. The generated numbers exist only in your browser session until you export them or leave the page.
