Dataset Generator - Generate International Test Datasets for 8 Countries

Generate complete test datasets for 8 countries: NL, US, UK, DE, BE, FR, ES and IT. Combine names, addresses, phone numbers, emails and more into coherent records. Up to 10,000 records per batch with export to Excel (.xlsx), CSV and JSON.

Note:All generated data is entirely fictional and not suitable for use as real personal information.

Count:

Generate complete test datasets

The dataset generator combines all individual generators into complete test records. Each record contains coherent fictional personal data that is directly usable in test and development environments.

Available fields per record

Each generated test record can contain the following fields:

Export formats

Generated datasets can be exported in three formats, each suitable for a different scenario:

  • Excel (.xlsx)— Ideal for QA teams who want to manually inspect test data or share with stakeholders.
  • CSV— Suitable for database imports, ETL processes and use in test automation frameworks.
  • JSON— Directly usable in API tests, frontend mocking and as fixture data in unit tests.

Use cases

  • Test automation— Use datasets as input for automated end-to-end tests with tools like Cypress, Playwright or Selenium.
  • Database seeding— Fill development and staging databases with realistic test data for manual testing.
  • Demo data— Present applications to clients with convincing but entirely fictional data.
  • Performance testing— Generate large datasets (up to 10,000 records) to run load tests and stress tests.

GDPR compliance

All generated data is entirely fictional and cannot be traced back to real persons. This makes the datasets fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Unlike anonymized production data, where the risk of re-identification always remains, synthetic test data is by definition privacy-safe. Use this generator as an alternative to copying production data to test environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can the dataset generator do and which fields are supported?
The dataset generator combines all available generators (BSN, IBAN, name, address, postcode, email, phone number, UUID, VAT number, company ID, license plate) into complete test datasets for 8 countries: NL, US, UK, DE, BE, FR, ES and IT. You choose which fields and country you need, and how many records to generate (up to 10,000 per batch). Each record contains consistent, coherent fictional data — ideal for filling test databases with international test scenarios.
Which countries are supported by the dataset generator?
The dataset generator supports 8 countries: Netherlands (NL), United States (US), United Kingdom (UK), Germany (DE), Belgium (BE), France (FR), Spain (ES) and Italy (IT). When you select a country, all country-specific fields (names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, VAT numbers, company IDs, license plates) are generated in the correct local format for that country.
How many records can I generate and how fast is it?
You can generate up to 10,000 records per batch. Generation takes place entirely client-side in your browser with optimized JavaScript, so even large batches are ready within seconds. No data is sent to a server, which benefits both speed and privacy. For very large batches (5,000+), exporting to Excel may take slightly longer.
What formats can I export my test data to?
The dataset generator supports three export formats: Excel (.xlsx) — directly usable in spreadsheet applications and ideal for manual review, CSV — the universal format for data import in databases and test automation tools, and JSON — perfect for API testing, seed scripts and direct use in development environments. All exports include correct headers and encoding.
Is the generated test data suitable for test automation pipelines?
Yes, the dataset generator is specifically designed for use in test automation. The JSON and CSV exports are directly usable in test frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright and Robot Framework. You can use the exports as test fixtures, as input for data-driven tests or as seed data for CI/CD pipelines. All generated values (BSN, IBAN) comply with their respective validation algorithms.
Is my generated test data stored or shared?
No. The complete dataset generation and export takes place client-side in your browser. No data is sent to a server, stored in a database or shared with third parties. The generated records exist only in your browser session until you export them. This also makes the tool suitable for use in environments with strict privacy and security requirements.
Can I use the dataset generator for testing GDPR-compliant software?
Yes. Since all generated data is entirely fictional and not traceable to real persons, it is a safe and GDPR-responsible way to obtain test data. This prevents the risk of using production data in test environments — a common compliance risk. The fictional but realistic-looking data ensures your software can process realistic scenarios without privacy risks.
